Tobacco production & Export

During the last three years, North Macedonia is the second largest producer of oriental tobacco in the world. Macedonian tobacco sector produced: 27,500 tons in 2020, 19,000 tons in 2021 and 21,000 tons in 2022.

Macedonian oriental tobacco is exported mainly in: Germany, France, Netherland, Switzerland, Poland, Japan, Czech Republic, Egypt, US, Brasil, Argentina and many other countries.

Our oriental tobacco is included in the cigarettes of Philip Morris and other popular brands.
